The Orígens Geopark is interested in attracting congresses, conferences and field trips to promote and disseminate research to the society.
Find below some of the conferences and congresses that took place in this territory.
GeoMod is a biennial international conference dedicated to discuss and present the latest results of analogue and numerical modelling in Geosciences.
GeoMod 2018, is organized by the Geomodels Research Institute of the University of Barcelona and the Earth Sciences Institue Jaume Almera, and it consists of workshop that takes place from October 1st to 4th in Barcelona and a post conference field trip from October 6th to 7th in Orígens Geopark, in the municipality of Coll de Nargó.
2017 International Conodont Symposium (ICOS IV) and International Subcommission on Silurian Stratigraphy (ISSS) and on Devonian Stratigraphy (SDS)
This event is celebrated as a triple International congress, in which 80 scientists from 25 countries which belong to the Palaeontological Society specialized in Conodonts (Pander Society) as well as to two international scientific subcommittees: International Subcommission on Devonian Stratigraphy and International Subcommission on Silurian Stratigraphy, which belong to the Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS).
The congress celebrates the scientific conferences in Valencia from June 26th – 30th, 2017. There are also different field trips: a pre-conference in the Pyrenees (June 20th -25th), with visits to the Conca de Tremp – Montsec aspiring Geopark, another post-congress in Bohemia and the Carnic Alpes (July 1st – 9th) and a mid-field trip to Tabuenca (Zaragoza), on June 28th.
