This georoute is a combination of routes that can be done starting from Isona. It\u2019s meant to be done partly by vehicle and partly on foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The route passes through what was once a coastal region in a tropical climate with leafy vegetation, when the rivers and tides coexisted with the majestic passage of enormous vertebrates. This region is home to one of the most important dinosaur dig sites in Europe, where researchers have found bones, eggs and footprints belonging to the last dinosaurs to live in this continent, just before their extinction some 66 million years ago. These imposing giants take centre stage in our journey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another attraction is the magnificent view of the Pyrenees, which you can drink in from the Comiols scenic point. From this vantage point you\u2019ll gain a better understanding of the connection between the rich paleontological history of this region and the evolution of the landscapes during the formation of the Pyrenees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
