\n\"day3_faidella07\"<\/a>The second edition of the Geological Boot Camp<\/strong>, organised by\u00a0EAGE (European Association of Geoscientist and Engineers), l’Institut Cartogr\u00e0fic i Geol\u00f2gic de Catalunya (ICGC) and Universitat de Barcelona (Barcelona University), took place between\u00a04 and 9 of September.<\/p>\n

El Geological Boot Camp is an\u00a0international course in geology<\/strong>. Its aim is to offer the participants a\u00a0general vision of the geological modelling, \u00a0treating different geology branches, studying and observing landscapes and outcrops of sedimentary rocks, observing its tectonic and structures processes that have been taking place in the area, combined with underground data from seismic records.<\/p>\n

The participants, studients and young professionals<\/strong>\u00a0from different places of Europe such as\u00a0Italy, Denmark or The Netherlands, did some lessons complemented with field trips in different points of high geological importance, all of them within the\u00a0Conca de Tremp-Montsec Geopark project area. Some\u00a0examples of the visited places during the Boot Camp are Comiols (one of the entrance gate of the Geopark project), Faidella, Abella or Collegats. These lessons were done together with some working groups that allowed the interaction between the participants and the treatment of the field data.<\/p>\n

At the end of the course, the participants could achieve and acqurie a\u00a0solid knowledge of the geological modeling process, so they will be very useful to be able to apply it in their future work.<\/p>\n
