The castle of Llordà stands majestically on the ridge. It is one of the best examples of high medieval residential architecture in Catalonia. Built in the 9th century, it became the residence of Arnau Mir de Tost in the 11th century, who was responsible for the conquest, repopulation, and subsequent control of Pallars Jussà. Over the centuries, it was the subject of various transactions until, following the 19th-century disappropriations, it was abandoned and gradually deteriorated. In 1997, excavations were carried out, and restoration work was subsequently initiated.
