Isona i Conca Dellà (2021-2022)

The Isona i Conca Dellà Town Council launched a mural art project involving artists connected to the municipality and the Pallars Jussà region. Promoting their work adds value and simultaneously supports local artistic creation.

The guide, promoted by the Geopark, provides information about the different artists and descriptions of each mural. Each piece includes an explanation by the artist, describing the technique used, their inspiration, and the heritage elements depicted.

Salàs de Pallars (2022)

El Tracte (The Deal): A mural painted by the English artist Peter Alan Hull, who resides in Pallars Jussà. It illustrates the stages of the buying and selling process of hoofed animals at the Salàs Fair.

The mural also depicts the Commemoration Day of the Fair and the transformation of some threshing floors into gastronomic and cultural spaces.

Talarn (2020)

Geoparc Orígens (Origins Geopark): This mural showcases Talarn’s exceptional natural and cultural heritage. Its details include, from top to bottom: the dark sky; from left to right: the Talarn fountain by Jordi Beltran; Talarn’s skyline by Peter Alan Hull; a titanosaur by Elzeline Van der Hoek; and Dr. Pearson with Talarn’s hydroelectric power station by Eva Canyadas.

This mural was a grassroots initiative, and the Origins Geopark contributed to its funding.

Palau de Noguera (2020)

Palatium: A mural by artist Peter Alan Hull portraying various historical episodes of Palau de Noguera, a village in the municipality of Tremp, where members of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem lived between 1162 and 1851.

The mural, painted on the walls of the Sant Antolí cooperative, is an initiative of the Palatium Association, which works to restore the town’s historical heritage.
