The Museu de Gerri explains how salt is produced, transformed and commercialised and the importance of this resource – which originates in rocks from the Triassic – for the village of Gerri. It also explains the history and the evolution of the salt flats over the course of time and recovers the oral memory of the ancient salt miners.
