Societat d’Amics de la Muntanya

The Society of Friends of the Mountain (Societat Amics de la Muntanya) is a mountaineering association founded in 1964. Its objective is to promote mountaineering in all its disciplines as a way to explore the environment, understood also as popular and traditional culture.

The activities they organize include:

• Hiking and trekking
• Rock climbing (both traditional and sport)
• Mountaineering and ice climbing
• Ski mountaineering and snowshoeing
• Family outings
• Speleology and canyoning
• Mountain biking
• Mountain, nature, and travel film projections
• Training in climbing, mountaineering, speleology, orientation, and environmental knowledge.
