International Day of Disaster Risk Reduction

The International Day for Disaster Reduction recognises the contributions of traditional, indigenous and local knowledge and customs as a complement to scientific knowledge in managing disaster risk. It highlights various different angles and incorporates local communities as important actors in the application of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction.
